Mike McGuire

Representing California's North Coast, Senator McGuire was elected to the California State Senate in 2014.

Sen. McGuire is a third generation Northern Californian whose family farmed prunes and grapes in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County for nearly a half century.

Senator McGuire is a champion on rural issues, including wildfires and affordable housing.

Gayle Garbolino-Mojica

A tireless advocate for public education and one of California’s longest-serving county superintendents, Gayle Garbolino-Mojica has spent nearly two decades transforming Placer County into a gold standard for student success

In Memoriam

Horace Snowden

Horace was a mentor, an activist and elected member of the PCCDC. A successful R/K Dinner was his premier annual effort. He was recognized by the State Party as an outstanding volunteer for Placer County. A Delegate to State conventions, Horace gave his advice to statewide and national Electeds. A graduate of St. Mary’s College of California, Horace retired from distinguished careers at major Silicon Valley technology companies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Snowden, extended family and friends.

Bill Lauritsen

Bill was True Blue. He proposed to his devoted wife, Ana Lauritsen, at a State Democratic Party convention. Elected to the PCCDC, Bill participated in campaigns and fundraisers; endorsed and canvased for candidates. He served as a Delegate to State Conventions. The Lincoln Democratic Club was his home club. Bill retired in 2016 after 30 years as a U.S. Department of State Foreign Service financial officer. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University. Bill is survived by his wife Ana, relatives in New Jersey and friends.
