Placer County Democrats Pack Rocklin Biergarten for Annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser

ROCKLIN, CA – The Placer County Democratic Party drew a packed crowd Thursday night, October 23, 2025, for its third annual Oktoberfest fundraiser at Kathrin’s Biergarten, bringing together local Democrats, Democratic candidates, and community members for an evening of food, music, and organizing energy.

Guests enjoyed a traditional German buffet, local craft beers, and lively conversation about the road to 2026 and the need to pass Proposition 50, as speakers emphasized the need to build momentum ahead of next year’s key local, state, and congressional races.

“Yes on 50 isn’t just a NO on Trump; it’s a NO on Kevin Kiley ,” said Ruth Cox, Chair of the Democratic Club of Lincoln.

Prop. 50 is an emergency, temporary measure to protect California’s voice in Congress. After partisan map-rigging in states like Texas, this proposition lets California make short-term adjustments to its own congressional maps to restore balance and fairness. It ensures our state isn’t silenced by gerrymandering elsewhere and helps safeguard fair representation until national redistricting reforms can take hold.

The sold-out event featured games, music, and speeches highlighting ongoing efforts to expand voter outreach, protect reproductive rights, and advance affordable housing and healthcare access across the county.

Funds raised from the event will directly support Democratic organizing, candidate training, and voter education initiatives in Placer County.

In attendance were several local Democratic candidates, including Jaron Brandon, running for State Senate District 4; David Hildebrand, running for State Senate District 6; and Neva Parker, running for State Assembly District 5.

The Placer County Democratic Party extends its gratitude to Kathrin’s Biergarten for hosting the event and providing an energetic and welcoming space for the community to gather.

The Placer County Democratic Party hosts regular community events and monthly meetings open to all registered Democrats. More information and upcoming events can be found at placercountydemocrats.org.
